EHV power sources

EKO and EMO electrostatic precipitators are powered by direct current from sources of extra high rectified voltage (EHV).

EHV power source characteristics:

  • single-phase quartz rectifiers with a high voltage
    transformer and measuring circuitry
  • single-phase quartz rectifiers with a high voltage
transformer connected with a pulse generator and measuring circuitry
  • three-phase quartz rectifiers with a high voltage
transformer with a switched high frequency converter and measuring circuitry

  1. EHV source control
    • maximum supply voltage limitation
    • maximum supply current limitation
    • setting parameters for automatic regulation
    • short-circuit alarm for the electrostatic precipitator
    • suppression of back corona effect in the electrostatic precipitator
    • semi-pulse power supply with a choice of the number of periods
    • registration of the number of sparkovers
    • display of the instant V-A characteristic
  2. Comprehensive control
    • operation of electrostatic precipitator is comprehensively monitored and controlled by a multilevel microcomputer modular system
  3. Operation optimisation
    • attainment of minimum electric power consumption while complying with the emission limit or the lowest possible dust particles outlet
